Eight mile queues and long delays on M6 after crash causes lorry to overturn
North West Motorway Police took to X, formerly Twitter, to confirm the collision at 8.21am this morning, Wednesday. The collision occurred between junction 19 for the M56 at Lymm Interchange and junction 20 for Northwich and Knutsford at Tabley. Two lanes have been closed, according to National Highways, due to a stranded heavy goods vehicle requiring recovery.
The double lane closure is now causing eight miles of congestion and a delay of around 45 minutes.
Those planning to travel via the M6 southbound have been advised to allow extra time and consider taking alternative routes.
