M4 crash: Person dies after car and lorry collision near Bristol

A person has died following a crash on the M4 earlier today (March 26). Four other people were rushed to hospital following the collision between a lorry and a car near Bristol. The crash took place between junction 18 for Bath and junction 19 for Bristol[1] at around 1pm.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigating officers from Avon and Somerset Police are now appealing for information on the crash. They are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or who has relevant dashcam footage.

A spokesperson said: “The motorway was closed in both directions to allow emergency services to respond. Both carriageways have now been reopened. We would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while we have carried necessary investigative work.
