East Lothian motorway restricted as drivers urged to ‘use caution’

Drivers[1] heading in and out of Edinburgh through the A1 were warned of potential delays on Monday morning. Traffic Scotland[2] warned motorists after a broken down vehicle was restricting some of the motorway. The incident was reported just after 7am and drivers were urged to “use caution on approach”.

They were also told to expect longer journey times.

Traffic Scotland said: “Breakdown, March 25, 7:04am. “Location – A1 N of A720 Old Craighall.

Direction – Northbound. Join Edinburgh Live’s Whatsapp Community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages.[5] “The A1 northbound on approach to the A720 is currently restricted at Old Craighall due to a broken down vehicle.

Motorists are advised to use caution on approach.

“Motorists should expect longer than normal journey times.”
