Live M25 updates after vehicle fire between Leatherhead and Reigate leads to all traffic being held
There are delays on the M25[1] anti-clockwise in Surrey[2] after a vehicle fire. All traffic was temporarily held at around 1pm today (February 11) but it has now been released, according to traffic monitoring service Inrix.
However, two lanes remain shut on the motorway between Junction 9 for Leatherhead[3] and Junction 8 for Reigate[4]. First reporting the incident, Inrix said: “All traffic being temporarily held and queueing traffic due to earlier vehicle fire on M25 anti-clockwise from J9 A243 (Leatherhead) to J8 A217 Brighton Road (Reigate).”
It added an update shortly before 1.20pm, saying: “Queueing traffic and two lanes closed due to earlier vehicle fire on M25 anti-clockwise from J9 A243 (Leatherhead) to J8 A217 Brighton Road (Reigate). Traffic as been released but lanes one and two (of four) remain closed.”
