Delays on M6 live with lanes near Walsall closed for ‘pothole repairs’
Congestion is building on a major Midlands motorway after reports of an ‘infrastructure defect’. Two lanes of the M6 are closed northbound between Junction 9 for Walsall and Junction 10 for Wolverhampton.
Traffic is backing up for three miles with delays of around 20 minutes. The fault is believed to be ‘potholes on the carriageway’.
The cause of the fault is not known but the region saw heavy rain overnight which has caused flooding in some areas. Speed limits on the affected stretch are already reduced for the junction improvement scheme around Junction 10 for Walsall and Wolverhampton.
