Speeding BMW driver caught out by police after ‘flashing other motorists to move them out of the way’ on M60

A speeding BMW driver was caught out by police after 'flashing other motorists to move them out of the way' along the M60[1].

Traffic cops from Greater Manchester Police[2] caught the driver heading down the motorway 'at excess speed' near Oldham[3] on Sunday afternoon (January 7).

The force said that the driver was 'flashing his headlights at other motorists to move out of the way' before he was snared by an officer who had witnessed it from their vehicle.

An image from dashcam footage taken by police appears to show the officer driving at 88mph - the limit being 70 - behind the BMW driver before he was stopped.

A post shared by GMP Traffic said: "This BMW driver joined the M60 at Oldham at excess speed, flashing his headlights at other motorists to move out of the way. He then got "lit up" by the Motorway Sergeant who was on hand to witness events. Already on 9 pts, a day out in court awaits."
