Police stop BMW after “excessive speed” on M60 in Oldham
The driver of a black BMW was stopped by motorway police after an officer noticed the car joining the M60 at an “excessive speed”.
A Motorway Sergeant reportedly witnessed the driver entering the motorway and then flashing the car’s lights at other motorists.
A spokesperson from the Greater Manchester Police Traffic Division said they believe the driver had been flashing the lights so that motorists would move out of the way.
They added that as a result the driver was “lit up” by the Motorway Sergeant.

“He then got "lit up" by the Motorway Sergeant who was on hand to witness events.
“Already on 9 pts, a day out in court awaits.”
The courts can fine motorists and ‘endorse’ driving records with penalty points if a motorist is convicted of a motoring offence.
Endorsements must stay on a driving record for 4 or 11 years, depending on the offence.
Motorists can be disqualified from driving[8] if they build up 12 or more penalty points within 3 years.
