M53, M56 and M62 motorway closures starting January 15
The M53, M56 and M62 will partially close over the coming week.
The motorways, which run through Merseyside, will see closures this week as National Highways continue to repair the region’s roads. This weekend there are closures on the M56 according to the National Highways journey planning tool.
Here are the motorway closures you can expect in Merseyside this week.

Monday, January 15
The M53 northbound between junctions nine and 11 will be closed between 11pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound between junctions eight and 11 will be closed between 11pm and 6am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 11 and 14 will have one lane closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 11 and 14 will have one lane closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M62 westbound between junctions six and seven will have one lane closed between 8pm and 6am.
Tuesday, January 16
The M53 northbound between junctions nine and 11 will be closed between 11pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound between junctions eight and 11 will be closed between 11pm and 6am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 11 and 14 will have one lane closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 11 and 14 will have one lane closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M62 westbound between junctions six and seven will have one lane closed between 8pm and 6am.
Wednesday, January 17
The M53 northbound between junctions nine and 11 will be closed between 11pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound between junctions eight and 11 will be closed between 11pm and 6am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 11 and 14 will have one lane closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 11 and 14 will have one lane closed between 8pm and 5am.
Thursday, January 18
The M53 northbound between junctions nine and 11 will be closed between 11pm and 6am.
The M53 southbound between junctions eight and 11 will be closed between 11pm and 6am.
