Man, 37, fighting for life after car flips onto its roof on M60 motorway following collision amid major delays
A man was fighting for his life in hospital today after a car he was driving collided with another vehicle[1] on the M60[2] and flipped over onto its roof.
Police said the man, who is 37, was in a ‘critical’ condition at Salford[3] Royal Hospital after the early-hours smash.
He was cut free from the wreckage of the car after the incident at 5.41am on Saturday between junctions 25 and 24 of the anti-clockwise M60 near Stockport[4]. Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
National Highways, meanwhile, said the car also struck a nearside motorway barrier during the incident. A seven-mile stretch of the M60 to Denton[7] remains closed.
