Live: M5 traffic stopped in Somerset after multi-vehicle crash

A crash involving four vehicles led to all traffic being held on the M5 in Somerset earlier this evening. Traffic queued following a crash on the southbound stretch of the motorway between J24 for Bridgwater South and J25 for Taunton this evening (December 5).

According to traffic monitoring service Inrix, motorists were held temporarily. Two lanes were closed before one was reopened.

As of 7.40pm, all lanes have been reopened following the completion of recovery work. The accident has now been cleared.
