Footage shows moment driver forced way between cars on M4

Dash cam footage has shown the unbelievable moment a dangerous driver forced his way between two vehicles in anger on the M4 motorway. Ceiron Lewis Allan Evans forced his Volkswagen Crafter van between two cars on the M4 near Port Talbot on March 16, 2023 between junctions 40 and 41.

South Wales Police said Evans was “impatient and careless” in his driving when he squeezed between the cars in poor driving conditions. The force said it led to at least one vehicle taking evasive action.

Fortunately no-one was seriously injured in the incident. In a sentencing hearing at Cardiff Magistrates Court on September 7, 2023, Evans faced a charge of driving without due care and attention, to which he pleaded guilty. Although he had previously failed to comply with the conditional offer of a fixed penalty, the force said.

In court Evans was told he’d be fined £280 and ordered to pay £200 in surcharge and prosecution costs. He also received five points on his licence.
