M6, M53 and M56 motorway closures starting October 9
The M6, M53 and M56 will close over the coming week.
The motorways, which run through Merseyside, will see closures this week as National Highways continue to repair the region’s roads. This week there are no weekend closures according to the National Highways journey planning tool.
Here are the motorway closures you can expect in Merseyside this week.
This list is subject to changes from National Highways.
Monday, October 9
The M6 northbound between junctions 21 and 21A will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
Tuesday, October 10
The M6 northbound between junctions 21 and 21A will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M53 northbound between junctions five and 10 will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M53 southbound between junctions seven and 10 will be closed between 8pm and 5am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 12 and 14 will have one lane closed between 9pm and 6am.
Wednesday, October 11
The M6 northbound between junctions 21 and 21A will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 12 and 14 will have one lane closed between 9pm and 6am.
Thursday, October 12
The M6 northbound between junctions 21 and 23 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M6 southbound between junctions 22 and 23 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M56 westbound between junctions 12 and 14 will have one lane closed between 9pm and 6am.
Friday, October 13
The M6 northbound between junctions 21 and 21A will be closed between 9pm and 6am.
The M56 eastbound between junctions 12 and 14 will have one lane closed between 9pm and 6am.
Saturday, October 14
No closures
Sunday, October 15
No closures
