Diversion route for A14 crash

National Highways has shared a diversion route following the crash on the A14 earlier today.

A spokesperson said: “Cambridgeshire Constabulary are on scene dealing with a collision, with National Highways service providers en route to assess damage to the central reservation barrier. There are delays of 20 minutes above usual journey times on approach to the closure at J18.”

Diversion route:

Motorway eligible vehicles approaching from further afield are advised to follow the hollow circle diversion symbol.

  • Exit the A14 at J22 to join the A1 northbound
  • Continue on the A1(m) for approximately 15 miles to A1(M) J17
  • Exit the A1(M) at J17 and keep left towards the A605
  • At the roundabout take the first exit onto the A605, towards Northampton
  • Remain on the A605 for approximately 15 miles to the A14 J13 near Thrapston
  • Re-join the A14

The spokesperson added: “If this closure impacts on your planned route, please allow extra journey time. Plan ahead, you may wish to re-route or even delay your journey.”
