Traffic on M20 halted as police search vehicles

The M20 in Kent has reopned after traffic was breifly halted by police.

Officers stopped vehicles in both directions on the motorway between J11 for the A20 Hythe^[1] and Westenhanger, and J10 for the A2070 and Ashford^[2] South this afternoon.

Police are searching vehicles

Reports said officers are searching vehicles.

The motorway was reported to have reopened by 6.30pm.
