Police appeal to trace motorists caught up in M6 lorry crash between J31 and J32

Police shut the motorway northbound between J31 and J32 while dealing with the crash Pic: GoogleA lorry crash left dozens of vehicles damaged on the M6 between Preston and Broughton.
Preston Police say a lorry lost two wheels while heading northbound on the motorway[7] between Junction 31A and Junction 32.
The crash took place on Monday 25 September around 9.30pm.
Police say a number of vehicles were damaged after colliding with debris from the lorry.
The M6 northbound had been shut for several hours on Monday evening to recover all the damaged vehicles.
A police spokesperson said: “It resulted in the deployment of multiple resources from Lancashire Police and National Highways.
“At the scene our officers spoke to the majority of affected drivers but we believe others continued their journey before we had chance to speak to them.”
Anyone who had their vehicle damaged as a result of the incident, or if you have dashcam footage, is asked to contact Sergeant Simon Strickland of the Specialist Operations Road Policing Unit by emailing [email protected][10] – with LC-20230925-1421 in the subject line.
