The roundabout’s east bridge is being strengthened to withstand predicted future traffic loads.
The work first started in July and traffic lights are to remain in place throughout September and into November.
Part of the junction is closed overnight this week for workers to move their working area over to the left-hand lane.
The eastern section of the junction between the M20 coastbound entry and London-bound exit slip roads is shut every day until Sunday (September 3) between 10pm and 5am.
Works on the west bridge are planned to take place next summer.

A diversion for non-motorway traffic will be in place via the A20 Londonbound to the Crittalls Corner roundabout, the A224 southbound to Dunton Green, the A25 eastbound and the A225 northbound, returning to the A20 at Farningham.
