Warrington man fined for driving 71mph on M606 motorway

Ionut Apostol, 31, of Poplars Avenue, Orford was caught breaking a 50mph speed limit on the M606.

Court documents state he was caught at 71mph, near the Chainbar roundabout, on November 29, 2022.

Apostol was handed four driving licence points.

He was also fined £333, ordered to pay £110 costs, and a £133 victim surcharge for the offence.

Apostol pleaded guilty to the charge he faced and he was sentenced at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court on August 3.

His guilty plea was taken into consideration by the court when he was sentenced.
