Person hospitalised in Glasgow M8 crash at Kingston Bridge as cops make arrest
A person has been rushed to hospital following a two-vehicle crash[1] which caused delays on the M8 this evening.
Emergency services raced to the collision on the westbound stretch of the busy motorway, at Kingston Bridge, at around 5.25pm.
The injuries, if any, of the person taken to hospital is not yet known.
Police Scotland[2] have since arrested a motorist in connection with a road traffic offence.
A spokesperson said: “Around 5.25pm on Monday, 7 August, we were made aware of a two car crash on the M8, Kingston Bridge, Glasgow.
“One person has been taken to hospital and one person has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence.”
Traffic Scotland earlier reported lane restrictions and heavy traffic after the incident. All lanes are now running.

A spokesperson wrote: “Kingston Bridge westbound now clear. All lanes running.
“Approach with care, traffic is heavy in the area.”
We have contacted the Scottish Ambulance Service for a comment.
