M621 motorway closures for over 10 days as Leeds drivers warned of diversions
The M621 in Leeds will be closed overnight tonight (August 21) for over one week.
Between Monday, August 21 and Friday, September 1 the M621[1] in Leeds[2] will be closed overnight around Junction 2 - the Beeston area of the city - to carry out improvement works to the carriageway.[3] The closures will be in place between 8pm and 6am.
Diversions will be in place from Junction 1 to Junction 3, meaning the B&Q roundabout to A653/Dewsbury Road will also be affected due to the overnight closures.
Between Monday, August 21 and Friday, September 1 National Highways Yorkshire will be carrying out a series of overnight closures on the M621 while the road undergoes improvement works. Some more lane closures will be in place overnight while work is carried out around Junction 2.
There will be a fully signed diversion in place during this time between 8pm and 6am via Gelderd Road (A62) or A653. The diversion route is shown in the picture below.
