Drivers are facing delays along parts of the M62 in West Yorkshire[1] due to a police incident.
West Yorkshire Police temporarily closed the M62, between Junction 24 Huddersfield and Junction 23, in both directions.
Highways England also shut down a number of live traffic cameras due to what the agency described as an “authority operation”.
Drivers have been warned to expect delays as traffic builds in both directions.
In the latest update, Highways England said the incident has been resolved.
It is now in the process of reopening the M62 in West Yorkshire.
Delays of 30 minutes in both directions have been reported.
A spokesperson for Highways England said: “This incident has now been resolved, and we’re now in the process of re-opening the #M62 in #WestYorkshire both ways between J24 (#Huddersfield) and J23. There’s a 30 minute delay in both directions so please allow extra journey time this afternoon.”
Earlier, a spokesperson for Highways England Yorkshire said the M62 in West Yorkshire was closed due to a West Yorkshire Police led incident.
