M5: Man banned from driving after driving above the limit on motorway
Christopher Westwood, of Codling Road, Evesham pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Astra on the M5 northbound near Tewkesbury on July 16 with 65mcgs of alcohol in his breath.
The legal limit is 35mcgs.
The hearing took place at Cheltenham Magistrates Court.
The 43-year-old has been ordered to pay £645 in financial penalties.
He was £400 and ordered to pay a £160 surcharge and costs of £85.
Westwood was told he can reduce the disqualifications by 17 weeks if he completes a Government approved driving course by July 3 of next year.
