Live M3 traffic updates as police-led incident closes motorway
The M3 has been blocked in both directions due to a police-led incident close to Bagshot and Windlesham, with traffic held between Junctions 2 and 3. The incident was first reported around 1.45pm and and has led to five miles of congestion.
Travel service Inrix confirmed: “All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to police incident on M3 in both directions from J2 M25 to J3 A322 (Lightwater/Bagshot). Traffic has been held since 1.45pm to attend to the incident on the southbound side.”
National Highways reported congestion for five miles in both directions - to junction 12 of the M25 for Thorpe westbound and junction 4 on the M3 for Frimley eastbound. The roads agency added that delays of 30 minutes can be expected and are “building”.
