Large emergency response on Newcastle Central Motorway after motorbike accident

A large emergency response has been called to a motorbike accident on Newcastle's Central Motorway tonight.

The North East Ambulance Service[1] (NEAS) has confirmed that they attended the scene at around 7.34pm (on August 17) following a report that a motorcyclist had come off their bike under the Central Motorwa[2]y flyover, near the Great North Road.

Two Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) crews, two paramedic ambulances, and a clinical team leader were called to the incident, however, they have now left the scene. Police are still believed to be dealing with the incident and Chronicle Live understands that the road remains closed.
