Worcester Ford driver to pay £1,000 for speeding on M5 motorway

Pedro Silva, aged 25, was caught driving a Ford VRM over a temporary speed limit along the M5 on December 4 last year. 

Silva was caught above the 50mph limit northbound between junction 10 and 9 near Cheltenham and Tewkesbury. 

Silva of Randwick Close, Worcester, pleaded guilty to speeding at Cheltenham Magistrates’ on Tuesday, June 20. 

He was fined £660 and must pay a victim services surcharge of £264 plus £90 costs – a total of £1,014. 

He was given six points on his licence.
