M6 motorway closures starting Monday, July 17

Sections of the M6 will close over the coming weeks.

The motorway, which runs through Merseyside, will see closures this week (Monday, July 17 - Sunday, July 23) as National Highways continue to repair the region's roads. This week there are no weekend closures planned according to the National Highways journey planning tool.

Here are the motorway closures you can expect in Merseyside this week.

Monday, July 17

The M6 northbound between junctions 21 and 26 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

The M6 southbound between junctions 21 and 24 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

Tuesday, July 18

The M6 northbound between junctions 22 and 26 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

The M6 southbound between junctions 21 and 24 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

Wednesday, July 19

The M6 northbound between junctions 22 and 26 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

The M6 southbound between junctions 22 and 24 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

Thursday, July 20

The M6 northbound between junctions 21A and 22 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

The M6 southbound between junctions 22 and 23 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

Friday, July 21

The M6 northbound between junctions 21A and 22 will be closed between 9pm and 6am.

Saturday, July 22

No closures

Sunday, July 23

No closures
