M5 traffic live: Severe delays after caravan flips on motorway

There are long delays on the M5after a caravan flipped earlier this afternoon (July 5). A picture from the motorway shows the overturned caravan lying across two lanes with the car tilted in front.

The caravan overturned^[1]near Weston-super-Mare^[2]at around 12.30pm. Emergency services were called to the scene and two lanes remain closed.

According to National Highways, there are currently delays of an hour heading northbound between junctions 22 and 21. Motorists have been warned to plan ahead of their journeys this afternoon.

National Highways said: "There are long delays on the M5 northbound between J22 and J21 due to an overturned caravan which has closed 2 lanes in a 3 lane section.
