Glasgow police seize large HGV stolen from Nottinghamshire on M80 motorway

Road police have seized an HGV near Glasgow after it was stolen in England.[1][2]

Officers from both Lanarkshire and Glasgow forces stopped the lorry earlier this morning, July 28, on the M80[3] near Junction 6.

The vehicle was allegedly stolen from around the Nottinghamshire area. Road police Scotland shared news of their successful operation on Twitter.

They wrote: “Some great teamwork saw Lanarkshire Road Police and Glasgow Road Police safely stop and recover a stolen vehicle this morning on the M80. Good work.”

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing,
