Three M1 lanes closed following crash near Mansfield – as it happened
Three lanes were closed on the M1 following a collision.[1] Lanes two, three and four were closed on the southbound stretch of the motorway at Junction 29, Mansfield[2].
Emergency services and traffic officers were at the scene. National Highways East Midlands tweeted: “Lanes 2, 3 and 4 (of 4) are closed on the #M1 south in #Derbyshire within J29 #Mansfield due to a collision.
“Traffic Officers and emergency services are on scene. Traffic is beginning to build.
“Please allow extra travel time if in the area and take care passing the scene.” According to the traffic monitoring site Inrix: “Three lanes closed due to accident on M1 Southbound at J29 A617 (Chesterfield / Mansfield).
“Lanes two, three, and four (of four) are closed.”
