Recap – M4 rush hour delays as crash causes long queues

A crash on the M4 is causing delays during the rush hour this evening (June 23) near Bristol. The incident happened on the eastbound side of the motorway.

Traffic[1] monitoring website Inrix reports the crash occurred just before junction 18 (Bath/Tormarton) heading towards London. It says traffic is queueing as a result of the incident.

As of 5.10pm, there are delays of around 20 minutes along the M4. Inrix says the vehicles involved in the crash have been moved to the hard shoulder.

Inrix reports the road reopened with easing traffic by 7.25pm.
