This is the moment a disqualified driver rammed a police car before going on a 135mph motorway chase[1] while armed with a loaded gun.
Kane McLeod, 32, was spotted by a police patrol speeding on the M25 near the Darenth Interchange in Dartford, Kent, on the evening of April 10, 2021.
Officers followed the Audi A7, which had been fitted with cloned number plates, onto the M20 coastbound, where McLeod accelerated to speeds up to 135mph before coming to a halt when requested.
A second patrol car then boxed McLeod in, but he rammed the police vehicle back onto the carriageway before speeding off.

Police followed him on a high-speed chase with McLeod swerving across the lanes of the busy motorway and veering down a slip road.
Dash cam footage also showed him flying over a roundabout before coming to a halt.
The car was brought to a stop at the top of the M20 junction 5 slip road, near Aylesford, Kent, following another high-speed chase.

Maidstone Crown Court heard how the Audi struck a kerb when airbags inflated and McLeod lost control and had to stop at the roundabout before trying to escape while carrying a rucksack – but was tasered.
McLeod made off on foot with the black bag into bushes surrounding the roundabout, where he was arrested.
Police found the bag and a handgun and inside the vehicle, they also found a small amount of drugs.

Matthew Kirk, prosecuting, said the rucksack contained a 9mm automatic pistol, loaded with six bullets.
McLeod later claimed he was taking the weapon "under direction" to someone in Canterbury.
Judge Julian Smith told him he would have known what the gun would be used for and had deliberately rammed police vehicles.

The court heard he had also committed similar offences in Harrow, northwest London, in 2018 when he again rammed police cars trying to escape.
In that incident, he was driving a black Mini, then smashed into three cars and a moped and was tasered before his arrest, when officers discovered a knife and drugs.
McLeod, of Derby, was charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause alarm or distress, possessing a firearm when prohibited for life, dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, and possession of cannabis.

He pleaded guilty to all the charges and was sentenced to five years and 11 months’ imprisonment at Maidstone Crown Court last month.
McLeod was also disqualified from driving seven years and 10 months, and will be required to do an extended test once his ban elapses.
He was also sentenced for the London offences at the same hearing and must serve an additional two years and 10 months in jail.
