Man injured in A45 crash involving lorry and three cars
A man was rushed to hospital following a multi-vehicle crash in Coventry[1]. It happened on Stonebridge Highway on Monday, June 12.
A lorry and three cars had collided on the busy carriageway. Paramedics and the Warwickshire[2] and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were called to the scene at around 3.30pm.
A man, the driver of one of the vehicles, had suffered minor injuries and was taken to University Hospital Coventry[3]. A further three people were assessed and discharged at the scene on the A45[4].
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service[6] said: “We were called to reports of a collision involving a lorry and three cars on Stonebridge Highway at 3.32pm. Two ambulances and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance attended the scene.
“On arrival, we discovered four occupants of the vehicles. A man, the driver of one of the cars, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire[7]. The remaining three patients were assessed and discharged at the scene.”
