M8 traffic LIVE as rush-hour collision causes chaos on motorway with delays expected

Motorists are queuing up on the M8 this morning (June 26) after a collision during the morning rush-hour is causing delays on the busy motorway.

Traffic Scotland first reported the incident before 7am, confirming the police and other emergency services are at the scene near Junction 28.

The westbound exit ramp is currently closed due to the crash[1] – it is not yet known whether there are any injuries.

Issuing an update after 7.30am, Traffic Scotland wrote: “The Westbound Exit Ramp remains closed due to a collision. Police and emergency services are in attendance

“Traffic is building up on approach. Current delay approx. 40 minutes.”
