M62 Junction 25 traffic live as lorry crash shuts two lanes near Huddersfield

There are long delays on the M62 westbound this morning (Thurs) after a lorry shed its load following a crash near Huddersfield.

At around 6.54am it was reported by data traffic site Inrix that two lanes have been closed between J25 A644 at Wakefield Road, Brighouse, and J24 at A629, Ainley Top. Two HGV's are said to have been involved.

West Yorkshire Police and an ambulance have been spotted at the scene. The incident is causing delays of up to 20 minutes and three miles of congestion.

Pictures from the scene have been shared with Yorkshire Live. They show piles of debris covering two lanes of the motorway. Lanes one and two are closed westbound.
