M61: Vehicle stopped and seized on St Peters Way, Bolton
Police spotted the vehicle on the M61 northbound after they say it was driving at ‘excess speed’ onto St Peters Way, Bolton[1].
The driver has now been summoned to court after police say the driver had no license or insurance.
A spokesperson for North West Motorway Police said: “Vehicle spotted by ME14 at excess speed on the M61 northbound onto St Peters Way, Bolton.
“Vehicle stopped, Albanian male driver who was driving on his Albanian licence after 12 months. Vehicle seized no insurance. Driver summonsed to court for No licence/Insurance.”
It is one of several vehicles stopped and seized on the motorway as police continue to crack down on car crime[2] across Greater Manchester and Bolton.
