M6 closed after multi-vehicle crash between Stoke and Stafford – latest updates
The M6 is closed this morning (Saturday, June 17) after a multi-vehicle crash between Stoke and Stafford.
National Highways first reported the motorway closure at 2.32am. The roads authority said the M6 was closed northbound, between J14 and J15, “due to a multi vehicle collision”.
In a statement on its website, National Highways said: “The M6 in Staffordshire is closed northbound between J14 and J15 near (Stafford) due to a multi vehicle collision.
“Emergency services are currently in attendance. National Highways Traffic Officers are also on scene providing assistance with traffic management.”
Traffic cameras show several miles of queuing traffic. A diversion, via the A34 and A500, has been put in place. No further details are available at this time. Scroll down for updates as we get them.
