Live: Crash blocks M4 slip road and sparks long traffic queues

A slip road on the M4 westbound has been cleared following a crash. Traffic was queueing on the road, which caused delays and congestion for rush hour traffic this morning.

The crash, reported at around 8.45am, is believed to have taken place on the motorway[1] at junction 19 with the M32. Congestion is reportedly backed up to junction 2 on the M32[2].

Traffic reporting system Inrix reports: "M4 Westbound entry slip road partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident at J19 M32 (Bristol). Congestion to J2 of the M32."

The road had reopened by 10am, according to Inrix.
