Solid Battery, Easy Installatio
Solid Japanese-brand battery. I’ve been using it for over 30 days on my Toyota Yaris, with around 90% short trips and 10% longer drives (about 20 minutes). So far, there have been no issues. Everything worked immediately after installation. The battery size is perfect for a small car and fits the tray nicely.
Note: I fully charged the battery with a 12V charger upon receiving it before installation.
Decent battery
It’s a decent battery. Fitted to our Renault Zoe, and works just fine so far. Direct swap for the original which is meant to be replaced every 4 years.
Much better price than available from the famous high street motor parts supplier.
I didn’t want to install a Lion or another no-name battery, this might be a couple of pounds more, but it’s a decent brand.
I’ve been buying Yuasa batteries for my motorcycles for years now, so thought i would try one for my 2021 Toyota Corolla Touring Sport Hybrid and I wasn’t disappointed. It is a significant upgrade for my cars factory fitted battery, with an increased 54A/ph rating, ideal for people like myself who tend to drive more short local trips than longer ones, so you need to keep the 12v battery well maintained.
A couple of thing to note if you are not already aware: There are two ‘steps’ at each side on these, and it took me a while to realise these are easily removable. But prior to that, the battery clamp would not fit correctly, so I had to remove these plastic parts first then re-fit. Also, there is a small red plug on one end of the battery – remove that, as well as the terminal covers, because it is the plug covering the vent hole, just during transit.
Another thing to be aware of – some manufacturers, like Toyota will not cover certain defects under warranty if you’ve fitted a non-approved battery, even if it’s better than the one fitted from factory.
To summarise, Yuasa produce high quality, reliable batteries that should last you for years!
Performance and durability for a good price
This is the second Yusa battery I’ve purchased. Both of them appear to be well made and they deliver power reliably in a wide range of temperatures. The favourable pricing allowed me to get a battery that can potentially last longer and provide a bit more performance. I’m quite satisfied and can recommend Yusa batteries based upon my own experience over several years.
