Was a little dubious about purchasing the product at first as it seemed too good to be true for the price. Having contemplated for a while, and seeing many other products at much more expensive prices, I decided to go for it and so happy I did!!! Main reason for buying was for the Apple CarPlay functionality as I only had a Bluetooth audio connection to my car previously. Makes listening to music, making calls and navigation to places so much easier – all whilst keeping my phone in my pocket. Great display and easy to set up – highly recommended!!!
Bought this for my daughter’s first car, which she’s leabing to drive in. As befits her learner status, it’s an older vehicle without many mod cons. Wasn’t expecting too much of this but was pleasantly surprised how good it is.
Connected to her phone with no issues and booted up Android Auto. Initially connected by the 3.5mm audio aux cable into her stereo’s aux socket which wasn’t great. An audible click/tick could be heard, possibly down to ni supperssor in the circuit somewhere. Was suprised to find an FM transmitter built in (I hadn’t really looked in too much detail when ordering). Tuned the radio to the frequency, set it as a present and job done. Audio is significantly better than via the aux.
For the money, an idea addition for an older vehicle.
This does exactly what it says — wireless CarPlay (tested only with Apple).
Audio can play through your car via aux, FM transmitter, or your phone’s Bluetooth. The device itself doesn’t connect directly to your car’s Bluetooth, so you’ll need to use your phone, or aux/FM depending on what your car supports.
Setup is straightforward, and it connects quickly when the car is turned on. The touchscreen is responsive, but the screen quality isn’t great, colours are inaccurate with a cold blue tint that can’t be adjusted, and there’s no automatic brightness, so you’ll need to change it manually depending on the light.
I didn’t use the included mounting kit. I glued magnets to the back and attached it to the flat air vents in our Volvo XC60 using magnet vent mounts. The provided mount felt quite cheap and plasticky.
In the box is a mounting bracket, USB-C 12V plug, and aux cable. However I didn’t use the included power plug as I I powered it using a standard USB to USB-C cable via the car’s socket, which works fine. There’s no wired CarPlay option, and the phone battery drains quickly, so you will need to charge it separately via lightning cable.
Overall, it does what I needed. I can now use maps and Spotify through CarPlay without touching my phone.
Only issue was on the first long drive — my phone disconnected after 3 hours and wouldn’t reconnect until I did a factory reset the next morning. No issues since.

Brilliant had new cars for last 20 odd years and recently decided to buy a cheap second car bought an old 2004 Saab and has cassette & tape but no car play modern easy tech so started getting confused looking to try and upgraded stereo and 200 plus and installation hassle then found this 5 minutes in done under 40 with cassette tape adapter and it’s brilliant sat nav Bluetooth phone music etc very happy recommendation to all
