It is always necessary to carry a spare pump because they can pack up in an instant and that is what happened to me. I used the spare. The newly supplied pump has now become the replacement spare. The downside is that it may be a couple of years before it is brought into use so only then is it possible to comment on its quality but Whale products tend to be of good quality.
This pump – the EP1612 is the high flow pump. Works fine in our Bailey Cordoba with push fit fitting to side of van. Info re the pump is confusing in the Whale documentation that comes with pump as it is definitely wrong and confused. As a new owener I’m glad to have been able to work out that the EP1612 is the high flow pump with push fit fitting that fits our Cordoba!
Replacement Pump
While away in our caravan our water pump failed, and I had to use an old spare pump. When we got home I searched for a replacement pump and found this pump as a direct replacement of the old one, I ordered it on Monday afternoon and it was delivered Tuesday. Fantastic service and as long as the new pump lasts as long as the original I will be very happy
