after spending loads of time polishing and waxing 2 cars i thought it was time to up my game and go for a machine polisher, after reading through the reviews i opted for this one, and what can i say it certainly lived upto the hype, i started using it on my mother in laws car which was quite badly faded and scratched, after a decent foam wash and then towel dried, i proceeded to unbox my new toy.
after reading the instructions i proceeded to use the machine polisher with some autoglym paint renovator to removed as much as the scratches as i could, after that i went with some super resin polish, i really wish i had taken some photo’s as the results with little effort were stunning, the paintwork went from lifeless and dull to a mirror like shine, best to start off on speed setting 1 to apply the first layer of polish and then slowly increase the speed, i found going from top to bottom around 1inch per second and the left to right at the same speed covering 50% of the old layer gave the best most even results, one thing i would say is i’m not sure how long the pads would last but considering they are quite cheap for some decent one’s its not a big deal

Let me preface this with I don’t do this by trade or anything just a regular weekend warrior when it comes to detailing I’ve had plenty of practice before.
So you get your package and you have a shiny new polisher! Inside is your two yellow pads which they reckon are ‘medium’ more like soft compared to my hex pads. A black ‘soft’ for polishing and red/brown ‘heavy’ for cutting.
I assume if you’re buying this or looking too you have either A. Had practice or B. Plan too.
So after washing and clay barring my car I gave it a spin.
I personally used some meguars compound to cut back ever so slight.
I smear this over my yellow pad and started away.
The Vonhaus polisher is robust, not to heavy but probably tiring if it’s a motion your arms are not used to.
The pads supplied are actually surprisingly good, they hold up well and blow out or clean easily.
After using the compound I used my favourite Auto Finesse Polish/Wax. I’ve tried this with both the yellow and black pad. Picture above is results after using yellow with it.
No hard wax was applied, this reflection is purely a very light compound then polished on top.
My Clio 200 R.S gleamed after what was a quick hour or two detail of just light use with this polisher. It makes it a total breeze but also has the utility to really cut into swirls if need be.
Carry case supplied is super handy too.
I’ll hopefully keep adding to the pictures for this review and add some before and afters.
Im hoping to get it on my friends E36 and my Leon.
All in all for the money, I think this polisher is incredibly great.

Absolutely brilliant bit of kit. Does exactly what it is intended for. I had read that the bag would split. This has not been the case with my one. It’s still intact and has been in regular use. Highly recommend. It’s easy to use fairly light weight, simple to control with one hand and has a multi speed option.
Does a good job on the whole, but even light pressure largely stops it spinning and it only really does the orbital movement. It took quite a bit longer than reviews would suggest, but the finish was pretty good. The vibration level is moderately high Generally good value, but too early to say about reliability
very good, ive just used this for the fiorst time and its done a great job, t cutting then waxing the car, looks great… it can be a little noisy but i have no frame of reference as to if this is the same other other brands.

Won't overhea
Good bit of kit, bought it to replace a cheap aliexpress battery powered one that would overheat and cut out after 10mins. No such issues with this VonHaus. Good even movement and plenty of power.
