Great tool for mechanical people, people who know what they are looking for.
I connected it up to my car battery which I know is a good battery as I replaces it 2 years ago and it’s working fine in this cold weather.
Make sure you get a good connection though, this is important as it can change the outcome drastically. It’s best results are measured whilst the battery is in the car as it measures when you crank the engine over to give more accurate results.
Make sure you’ve connect directly to the battery terminals in the car or find a good earth, I used my positive probe on the battery, and my car’s earth probe.
It measures the battery’s CCA (cold crank amps), or CA (crank amps) which is what we use mainly over here in the UK. It will as to input the battery rated spec of CCA or CA, which should be written on the battery on a sticker.
My results were from a cold start, meaning the battery has been sitting in the car, I started for about 24hrs, and the result came back just as I expected; my battery overall health (SOH) 78%, and the current charged capacity (SOC) which was 80%. Also it measures resistance, mine was 4.20 which is a good number.
Very easy to use if you know what you’re looking for and know about batteries and mechanics.

Ho acquistato questo prodotto per provare l’efficacia di un prodotto paragonabile a quello professionale. Il Tester per Batteria 12V arrivato in tempi brevissimi, la scatola compatta (come da foto) e gli imballaggi non sono per niente ingombranti; al suo interno oltre all’apparecchio si trova anche il manuale delle istruzioni. Il dispositivo non necessita di alimentatore in quanto si ativa una volta collegato alla batteria dell’auto.
Il Tester pronto all’uso per cui possibile utilizzarlo immediatamente seguendo le istruzioni. Infatti consigliato fare un primo test per verificare il funzionamento del prodotto.
Nel display presente un indicatore che descrive voltaggio, amperaggio e stato generale della batteria e il tutto risulta facilmente leggibile.
L’utilizzo semplice ed intuitivo: collegare i due morsetti nei poli +/- e il tester si avvia automaticamente. Entro pochi secondi si avr il responso.
Nel complesso ritengo sia veramente un buon prodotto e mi sento di consigliarlo a tutti, tenendo anche conto del fatto che, per la stessa tipologia di prodotto, i marchi pi noti hanno prezzi anche di due o tre volte superiori e non mi pare siano superiori a livello di qualit.
This battery tester is an excellent piece of kit and a must for any any toolbox.
Simply attach the negative lead to the battery to be tested then attach the positive lead….unit lights up with clear display and easy to setup for test…enter Ah or CCA unit runs a test and gives clear and concise results.
Can’t really fault this does exactly as it’s supposed to.
My battery is 6 months old and is turning the engine over powerfully. Yet the Topdon tester tells me to replace the battery. My battery has a 360 A CCA the Topdon tester tells me it only has 230 A CCA. I recon the large difference between what the CCA it should have and what the tester says it actually has prompts the tester to tell me to replace the battery. As an experiment I falsely entered a 230 A CCA and the tester consistently tells me it is a Good Battery. All the other tests on the tester show as normal. I will keep an eye on how well the battery starts my car in the extremely cold winter months. Initially I thought the Topdon was malfunctioning. After my experiment I have changed my mind and think I understand it a bit better.

I’m a mechanic for 30 years. I’ve tried the old and new fashion stuff. This is up to date and give lots more information . Plus alternater and starter motor testing. So for the price is best I’ve had

Very use full tool saved me buying a new battery for my bike .I also have two cars a caravan so usefully to my with so many Batterys to keep a eye on much better than a multimeter on its own.
Einfache Bedienung - sehr korrekte Ergebnisse - fairer Preis
Der Batterietester ist sehr gut bedienbar und einfach in der Anwendung. Allerdings muss man englisch knnen um die mitgelieferte Bedienungsanleitung verstehen zu knnen. Der Tester ist aber vor allem sehr genau! Habe das gegenchecken lassen in meiner Werkstatt mit deren Profigert. Der Werkstattmeister war auch voll des Lobes fr dieses Produkt. Eine deutsche Bedienungsanleitung wre allerdings schon sehr hilfreich. Kann das Gert auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
