I was looking for a diagnostic tools because these modern cars come with all kinds of faults that cost a lot of money going to the service and have them identified. For example, in the last two years, my jaguar had three times the engine fault and each time I had to go to the garage and pay a lot of money for them to get it diagnosed and after fix.
I was looking specifically for something that would not only read the codes, but also provide the accurate and relevant information and it can communicate with multiple vehicle systems rather than just engine control.
One of the features that i found useful is the full system diagnostic capability and instead of only reading the engine faults, it can access systems such as ABS, airbags, transmission and other electronic modules and this makes troubleshooting much easier. Being able to read and clear fault codes across multiple modules saves both time and unnecessary trips to the garage. The bidirectional control function is another great feature as this allows certain components to be activated for testing purposes and helps confirm whether a component is functioning correctly before knowing what replacement parts are needed.
The AI diagnostic feature is also useful as it allows me to have a better understanding of the maintenance tasks. The hardware itself feels professional with a large touchscreen and automatic vin detection.
So far, I have used it for my car and my friend’s car and it supports both older and newer car compatibility and it is useful not only for individual use, but also for professionals. Indeed, it is a pricey product, but in the long term it saves a lot of time, money and provides a professional overview of car issues.
This is a great tool to have at hand to keep check on your vehicle health and to resolve some issues.
I’m not going to go into what it does as the item description does that but what I will say is that for us it works well with our vehicle and with lots of options.
The unit is made very well and has a rugged outer casing to help against knocks and drops and the battery life seems to last ages.
It has WiFi and this means you can update the software not only for the device but also for each vehicle it supports.
It has built in 32gb of storage to record data for looking at at a later date which is very handy.
The size is not overly big but big enough to see what’s on the screen and not very heavy to hold.
It does take some time to get to grips with the device but once you do then its simple enough to use.
Overall we’re very pleased with this and would definitely recommend if your looking for a decent OBD scanner.

This OBD tester stands out through its user interface and mainly the customer interaction offered by the manufacturer in the sense that the user can easily get in touch with the live chat or find help and explanations for the results that the scanner brings up.
I have used it on older car models and although it is compatible and works, it seems to have less information available than for the newer models but it is still a lot you can learn about the car even if it’s an old one and by old I mean 2007 region. Even for cars that old it was still able to bring up the VIN identification.
This scanner is able to run a diagnostic scan through all the control modules available on the car. Depending on the type of car, some control modules will be available while others will not.
Once this can is complete you will have detailed explanations about the codes and this is where the user-friendly interaction comes in because you can easily perform a Google search of the information found directly on the scanner or head on to the live chat and ask for help in relation to your findings.
I was particularly interested in confirming mileage in different control modules and was able to find consistent information in a car while another I couldn’t find any information at all or conflicting in another, so this can be a bit of a hit and miss.
You can have graphs and access live data from each control modules as well as reading and deleting fault codes at decent speed. It is not heavy, easy to store and in my opinion it is correctly priced for its capabilities.

This is a great diag machine. It’s never had a issue connecting to a vehicle. And it does way more than I even expected. It has compatibility to majority of vehicles EV and hybrid and normal. It looks like it can even program keys but I’ve not attempted it. So far it’s better than a snap-on computer I’ve used recently!!
