The Aero Platinum Mirror is an innovative new design, specifically developed to securely fit to the extremely tapered mirror bezels, now found on increasing numbers of manufacturers vehicles to improve fuel efficiency by reducing aerodynamic drag. One of the key developments of the Aero Platinum Mirror is the inclusion of new flexible, rubber faced stainless steel, sprung loaded gripper plates. These are over 50% larger than the standard Aero 3 mirror pads. This design enables the gripper to ‘form’ to the shape of the vehicle mirror bezel. This significantly increases the surface contact area, providing improved grip and stability to the towing mirror. The Platinum clamp has also been enlarged, now accepting vehicle mirror bezels up to 25mm in thickness. Also now fitted with a larger diameter arm, this offers even further stability to the mirror, and has adequate reach to be used on caravans up to 2.55 meters wide. The Platinum Mirrors are engineered from the very best quality materials to ensure robust durability. My initial supplier review commented on non-delivery of this item; however it turned up later than advised (I had to collect it from Royal Mail), so not the seller’s fault. The mirrors are very good construction & quality, and provide plenty of adjustment. The clamps are an improvement over the standard Aero mirrors and vision is better because both vibration is minimised and the glass area is large. Having towed caravans for many years these are the best mirrors I’ve used to date.
Love these mirrors
The BMW X5 has mirrors that are very difficult to fit towing mirrors onto, and I was pretty worried that the difficult fit would contribute to less security and mirrors potentially flying off the car and killing someone. The first few times I used these I found myself nervously looking at the attachment points for any sign of slippage. But now I have driven with them through thunderstorms and highway speeds and passing semi trucks on two lane roads, and they have not budged one bit. I don’t crank down on the screws too hard because the instructions do state that the X5 mirror housing is fragile. The shape of the clamps and the grippy rubber pads are great, though. These mirrors don’t budge. And I get a much, much better view around my teardrop trailer than I would with just my car mirrors, it gives me much more confidence when driving, switching lanes, etc.
Once fitted these are stable and do not vibrate. They are quite difficult to fit on my SEAT mirrors as there is not much clearance between the mirror glass and the housing for the fittings to slide in. A carry case is supplied but it is pretty useless for the size of these mirrors once the are assembled.
After purchasing an 8 ft caravan my current mirrors weren’t wide enough to see properly so I took the plunge and invested in these mirrors. So happy I did. The clamps are secure with no shaking of the mirror on any roads and the longer arms give a fantastic view of traffic behind me.
I would highly recommend these mirrors to anyone with any caravan but especially to owners of 8 ft wide caravans.

These fit really well on a Mazda 6 estate 2011. The view is incredible. Had cheap towing mirrors before that rattled all over the place, these are really stable. Once set up nicely, you can see everything. It makes towing much less stressful, much easier to judge distances for pulling out. Easier to maneuver. You can check if the top of the van is too close to trees. Also worth noting that they come with a storage bag. Wan’t obvious from the description, so was happy. I really wish I’d spent the money years ago.
Da sieht man alles
Die Spiegel haben eine gute Groe. Endlich sieht man mal was. Meine bisherigen Spiegel waren alle deutlich kleiner. Jetzt habe ich den perfekten Blick nach hinten. Leider muss man sie immer neu einrichten, da es keinen fixen Punkt gibt, wo man sie befestigt.

Easy to fit and use, feel good quality, come with a carry bag for when not on the car, seem to be made of high quality materials. Will update after the first long journey.
