Arrived today on next day delivery – great service !
The fridge itself is somewhat larger and slightly noisier than I expected but seems to work well.
I took out the 5 year warranty policy when I bought it as it seemed good value at 16.
Will be using it in our car to replace an older Waeco CF25 which got stuck on “freeze” mode….I like a cold beer but frozen is no good !
Power consumption is fairly low, about 25w on Eco and 40w on high.
Will update review if anything changes.
Nice euhomy cooler single zone
Very nice cooler, temps hold well in 70 degree surrounding. Internal temp measure well too; I let the cooler saturate for 3 hours, bottom well was half degree f colder than setting. I like the textured outer surfaces, divider removal makes it easy to transport a full rack of baby back ribs. The interior lighting is good. Nice and quiet while running.
Well made and sturdy fridge, bought it for my campervan and run it off my leisure battery. On for 4 days with a bit of driving in-between I feel would just keep on going. Very quiet and a constant temperature. Can fit the essentials in. Added an amazon motion light and works well, can’t have a fridge without a light in lol. Brilliant piece of kit.
Fits on my passenger seat (Scania) and can still see all of my window. Small inside but ideal for me. I put 2 ready meals, some yoghurts, a sandwich and a 750mm water bottle in. It did wake me up a couple of times at first but I got used to it.
This is a very nice fridge and is relatively quiet. I’ve put it on eco and the leisure battery lasts for days. Plus the control by phone app I really like. Great price when on offer. Enough space inside for essentials but not massive. But then it’s a small fridge which is fine.
Brilliant bit of kit, even in 30c kept lovely and cold on eco mode. Low power consumption, in the daytime my 1000w jackary with 100w solar only dropped to 87% by morning and very quickly returned to 100% so power draw from fridge was less than solar put in.
Euhomy 12 Volt 19QT Refrigerator / Freezer -An Absolute Must Have
I bought this 19QT Euhomy 12 Volt Refrigerator / Freezer for a 4 day fishing & hiking trip in Jasper TX this past week. I needed something to keep my water, gatorade, juice and food cold while driving and while outdoors but I also wanted something that was energy efficient and small enough to carry around and load in and out of my suv. I’ve read a good number of positive reviews on this 19QT refrigerator / freezer and that did help to influence my decision along with the very affordable price on this. This 12 Volt refrigerator / freezer performed absolutely fantastic and was actually better than I had expected it to perform. The build quality is up there with the big name brands and it is solidly construction and is very well insulated. I had it set to 15 degrees F on the way home and all of my drinks were frozen by the end of the 3 hour drive. I left it unplugged in my garage in Houston for 9 hours afterwards and the drinks were still frozen – this tells me it has great insulation and a very good sealing lid. After letting it sit for 24 hrs from receiving it, I plugged it into a 300 Watt solar / battery power generator that I planned on using it with while on my trip, it was 75 degrees in my house when I plugged it in and I set it for -4 degrees. During startup with it set to Max Mode, it did draw 49 Watts and was rapidly cooling down and within 2 hours it had dropped down to 30 degrees while empty. I put it on ECO Mode and the draw wattage dropped to almost 30 Watts and continued to cool down until ice was forming on the inside of the cooler (Texas Humidity) yes it did hit 0 degrees easily and I still had a lot of battery left on the battery powered generator. The next day I loaded it with cold water and cold gatorade and food from my home freezer and loaded it in the SUV and powered it off of the 12 Volt cord plugged into the cigarette lighter. Using the Euhomy App on my android phone, I was able to set and monitor the temperature very easily – that was great since the cooler was behind my seat and I couldn’t really see the controls while driving. I drove most of the 3 hour trip with it running on ECO Mode and it was set to 20 degrees but the cooler was only cooling down to 24 degrees on ECO Mode – I am okay with that small variance. I used my solar / battery powered 300 Watt generator to keep it running inside my SUV while I was fishing and hiking throughout the day and when I was ready for a cold bottle of water or gatorade, this little refrigerator delivered like a champ – ice cold drinks. I will say that it is VERY Quiet too. Add that to the reliability, the ease of use, very little power draw and that it can actually freeze food or drinks and keep them frozen very well makes this an absolute must have. I cannot express enough of how impressed and pleased that I am that I bought this brand.
I previously used a peltier based electric coolbox in the car which while working well, was limited. I decided it was finally time to upgrade to a compressor based fridge and I’ve been blown away so far. This thing is noticeably quieter, no lounder than the AC in the car and easily drowned out by music/radio even on “max”. As it kicks the compressor in and out as required, I sometimes have to mute my music to see if its still running! I’ve got the 15L version and managed to secure this in the middle “seat” on the rear bench in the car so the size is absolutely perfect for a car fridge, without taking up a full seat.
Temperature regulation is excellent, although I haven’t verified against a calibrated probe, it seems to reach temperature and hold there, cycling as required. I’ve set it to -18C and it’s kept frozen shopping perfectly on a 40min journey home. For day-to-day use keeping my lunch and drinks cold while parked, it seems to do a fairly respectable job, even when the car heats up parked in direct sun. I am only out of the car for up to an hour typically so your milage may vary.
The app control is more than good enough, while the onboard LCD displays pretty much everything necessary, the app does make setting changes a little easier. Setting changes are fairly easy, although the touch buttons can be easy to catch when reaching back from the front of the car. Depending on your usage, this may not ever be an issue.
The biggest benefit for me is this unit restoring its previous settings on power-up. My car only powers the 12V sockets when in accessory mode (first click on the key) so I was worried this would sit in standby without manual intervention – however, no bother, as soon as I turn the key this fires up and after a brief delay (to prevent short cycling), starts cooling again. This makes it entirely hands-off for day-to-day use, permanently installed in the car.
Overall, while I’m only a few days in, I’m more than happy. This has been a substantial upgrade over a cheaper “coolbox” and proves its worth in being able to keep a small shop cold even on a lengthy drive in heavy traffic!
Tested at home so far, first camping trip next weekend. Got down to 0 in about 8 hours, to -6 in about another 12 but took more than 36 hours to get down to -18.
Obviously the temp rises slightly every time you open the lid, but unless you put lots of warm things in it recovers from that within 30-60 minutes.
However, I put a separate thermometer inside and it only ever got down to about -8, so still fine for ice packs etc but not great for longer term frozen food.
It makes a noise, but it’s constant until it gets down to temp and then it cuts in and out. It’s no louder than I’d expect.
Heavy when full, I actually wish I’d got a slightly smaller one, but my mistake! Loads of room inside!
Seems quality, cools incredibly fast.
I’m an OTR hot shot driver, I run a pickup not a semi so size was important. It’s large enough I can pack away over a weeks worth of meal prepped food and some drinks no issue. This is a life saver (literally that gas station food will kill you) for an OTR driver. It was freezing cold only about 10 minutes after plugging it in, I have to pay attention to hear the compressor kick on. Doesn’t seem to cycle a lot and that’s a good thing. Over all I’m satisfied so far, I’ll run this thing constantly over the next few months and I’ll update if I run into any issues.
