Very good product, comes in a very nicely presented box. Feels premium straight away. Before use I washed and dried my car, then added extra gloss protection (hard layer of protection before applying the wax) then once that was buffed off and left for about 30 minutes I applied the uhd wax. The wax went on easily with the supplied applicator I did a panel at a time until the entire car was covered. Then I used the supplied microfibre cloth to remove the wax making sure I started from where I’d applied the wax first, it was very easy to remove. The results were very impressive the shine was very deep (as to be expected with carnuaba wax) and the protection was also good the water beaded off brilliantly for a few days and the shine stayed for a good week in winter conditions. Only reason to knock a star is the price which even for this premium package I would say is a little high when you consider bilt hampers offereing.
Highly recommended, try and wait for the Amazon or Halfords discount.

actually works out quite cheap per application as the tub will cover many cars. So despite the high initial cost it will last for years probably.
Really easy to apply and buff off, this is a major purchasing factor for me as it saves time and frustration and makes a better experience. I used only about 5 worth on my small car.
The applicator sponge that supplied with this really as excellent as is the finishing cloth also supplied in the kit. All together makes this idiot proof.
What an amazing shine and finish!
Tip: don’t wait long before buffing then it is easy to buff off. Wait too long and more effort is required and powder type residues forms which again requires more effort to remove. But if you get it right in terms of timing this product is super easy to apply and buff off.
Despite the price I would highly recommend this.
In short, let me just put it here at the start that Autoglym Ultra HD Wax is the best wax I have EVER used in my 30 years + of car ownership.
I’m happy spending hours foaming, washing, polishing and waxing my car to keep it looking nice and find it therapeutic – but I want an easy life, I don’t want swirls, haze, residue, smears, and wax that’s a pain in the ass to remove. I’d read so many reviews before I settled on two products from Autoglym – their Super Resin Polish and the UHD Wax.
After a Snow Foam, Rinse, Shampoo Wash, Rinse and Dry, I used the Resin Polish first to remove a few little imperfections, that in itself was a joy to use, easy on .. easy off and left the paintwork already looking glossy and shiny (just don’t get any of that on non-painted plastic trim). I followed that with the ultra HD wax (which smells wonderful, like some expensive coconut moisturiser!), it went on easy with the soft applicator pad provided (make sure you dampen the pad first, I used a little water in a misting spray and a gentle dab and quarter twist in the product is enough), applied all over the car, then after I’d finished, went back to the point i started and it’d already cured and just buffed off with ease with the red finishing microfibre cloth provided, so easy.
The shine I am left with (Navarra Blue) is just fantastic. The metallic flakes in the paint just pop in the sunlight and not a streak/smear in sight.
Yes it’s expensive for a wax, but you use so little, it will last years, even using it on the other cars in the household. You really only need to use it sparingly too, more is not better (more you apply ,the more product is wasted and it makes it harder to buff off), even a minimal application gives fantastic results. The applicator and cloth provided are perfect too.
A week on from the polish/wax, little dust has gathered on the surface, but just rinsed that off with a hosepipe, all ran off, beaded away, leaving that fantastic shine again.
Ive been converted back to Autoglym again after many years away and have also now bought their Glass Cleaner, Detailer Spray and Tyre Dressing Spray. (A little bird poop came off easily, little spray of the detailer, wiped clean off, no damage to the paint, perfect shine still).
I was thinking of self applying a ceramic coat but it is tricky and reality is it is best done after a paint correction. So I headed towards finding a good quality alternative that was easier to apply. This is good. It is easy to apply with the supplied applicator which actually works rather well. While there isn’t much in the tub you only need a small amount to cover a car, so the tub will do many coats. I have done about three applications over six months. Once applied rainwater beads up like you would expect it to with a ceramic coat. What I really liked about this compared to other waxes is that it is easy to get on and polish. Polishing is very quick and easy compared to other waxes I have tried. It is of course much more expensive than other wax products but cheaper than getting someone else to do a paint correction and a ceramic coat. So it is the best wax I have used, a good alternative to ceramic and a great choice the DIY person that doesn’t mind polishing their car every couple of months.
I bought this for my 30 year old yellow car after high recommendations from others.
Super easy to use, the kit is self explanatory and packs together really nicely. I will say that prepare yourself for the arm workout of your life, so it’s not always the quickest application – but there’s genuinely no helping that if you’re waxing your car!
Water repels lovely, and make my paintwork shine. Massive must-have in my valet kit!
There is no disputing that this is an expensive product, however my vehicle when new was treated with Autoglym protection, so I wanted to follow-up with the same brand. It comes with an effective applicator sponge and goes on with minimal effort, it then needs 15 or 20 minutes to dry to a white-ish haze. Don’t be tempted to apply thickly as it’s just harder to buff off. I start with the roof and then the bonnet, as I finish application on the bonnet the roof is ready to buff. Buffing requires a bit of energetic rubbing as does any polish containing Carnauba wax. I buff using 3 separate cloths consecutively, initially a coarse stockinette which needs turning frequently and creates a moderate amount of dust so the cloth needs shaking periodically. I then use a short pile microfiber cloth which starts to produce a good shine, finally the red microfiber cloth supplied with the polish to produce the final deep high gloss.
Quite a bit of work but worth it for a deep shine that really sheds water and lasts for months, I wax in spring after the road salt but before the bugs and then late autumn ready for winter.
It works well on black paint and dark metallic colours, one pot has covered a large estate car six times – just! The depth of the pot is a bit of a con as at least a third of it’s depth is the base of the pot so you’re not getting as much wax as you are led to believe.
Despite everything I still consider the depth and durability of the finish is worth the cost and extra work rather than using liquid waxes which don’t seem to last as long. Professional ceramic coating is probably the ultimate but the HD wax gets close with considerably lower cost and a bit of effort.
