I got this mainly because I’ve always kept a basic bird feeder in the garden but never really managed to watch it properly during the day. Most of the time I’d just catch a glimpse through the window and miss whatever had actually turned up. This seemed like a more modern way of doing the same thing without needing to sit and wait by the window.
Setting it up was fairly straightforward. The feeder part sits on the outside of the glass and the camera stays inside, which makes sense once you’ve got it in place. The suction cups feel strong enough so far and I made sure the window was properly cleaned before sticking anything on. The app took a bit of trial and error, mainly just finding where everything is rather than anything complicated, but it does work once you get used to it.
Value for money: The camera quality is better than I expected for something at this price. It gives a clear enough view to see the birds properly and it’s actually quite nice being able to check it on my phone rather than constantly going to the window. The alerts are a bit hit and miss though, sometimes I get a notification after the bird has already gone, and the AI identification seems to work better with some birds than others from what I’ve seen.
Appearance: One small annoyance is having the cable running to the window. It’s not a deal breaker but it does limit where you can place it, especially if your plug sockets aren’t in the right spot. I also think the app could be a bit more intuitive, but it’s manageable once set up.
For the price it feels like a decent bit of kit. It’s not perfect, but it does make birdwatching a bit more interactive and easy to keep an eye on during the day. I would keep using it and probably leave it up long term.

The physical build of the feeder is excellent. The clear acrylic is thick, sturdy, and feels like it’s built to last. It uses four massive suction cups that hold properly tight to the glass; even with a few birds landing at once and some typical windy weather, it hasn’t budged an inch. The detachable seed tray is a brilliant design choice, too. It means you can just slide the tray out to clean it or top up the food without having to faff around pulling the whole bracket off the window every time.
The camera itself is absolutely cracking. The 2K HD resolution gives you a dead clear, sharp picture, so you can see every single detail of the feathers and markings right on your phone. Connecting it to the app was completely straightforward, and the motion alerts are spot on it pings your phone the second a bird lands. The AI species identification is a massive bonus and surprisingly clever, instantly telling you what kind of bird has popped in for a snack. It’s been fantastic entertainment for the whole house, and even the kids and the cats have spent hours glued to the window watching the visitors.
We’re seeing a lot more small birds and juveniles in our garden at the moment, and the kids are forever grabbing their binoculars to watch the activity around our existing feeder. This smart feeder with a built-in camera sounded like exactly what we wanted, giving us a close-up view from the comfort of the house without needing to sit by the window with the binoculars. Setup was straightforward and the image quality is impressive. You get some fantastic close-up shots and can watch bird behaviour in real time without disturbing them. The motion alerts are useful too, notifying you whenever there’s activity at the feeder. There is also an AI bird identification feature which works 80% of the time, although this requires a subscription once the trial period ends.
The suction cup mounting has been reliable so far. I made sure the window was thoroughly cleaned beforehand and haven’t overloaded the feeder with seed. My only concern is that larger visitors such as pigeons and magpies occasionally try their luck, and I do wonder whether repeated visits from heavier birds could eventually test the mounting system. So far though, it’s held up perfectly well. Build quality feels good, with sturdy acrylic construction and a removable seed tray that makes cleaning and refilling easy. I particularly like the fact that the camera sits on the inside of the window, protecting it from the weather. Recordings can be accessed through the app via cloud storage or stored locally on a microSD card.
The optional subscription adds AI identification and cloud video storage, but for our needs the free features have been more than adequate. At around 50, I think it’s fairly good value. You could probably achieve something similar with a standard window feeder and an indoor security camera, but the result wouldn’t be nearly as neat and the detection features may not work as reliably through the glass. The app works well enough, although it isn’t flawless. I’ve noticed the occasional glitch and sometimes alerts arrive a little later than expected. The feeder tray is also fairly small, so it needs topping up regularly, although that does at least help keep the seed fresh.
Overall, it’s a clever and enjoyable gadget that’s been a hit with the whole family. Being able to watch sparrows, blue tits and other garden visitors up close, without worrying about missing them, has made birdwatching far more interactive and enjoyable.

The only problem is if you keep the feeder at the bottom of the window you end up with a lot of seed going between the feeder and your window
This is a good quality piece of kit with the main part that goes outside and has suction pads that stick to your window that, so far, appear to be sturdy and secure. The other part is a camera that sticks to the inside of the window in the same location. This appears of good quality and has a good sized cable in order to keep it powered.
It is worth noting that, unless you want to pay a subscription for cloud storage, you need a memory card, but these are cheap and easy to source so well worth going down that route.
There is an app, which connects easily to the camera and allows you to view “live” (and take images/videos if you wish) plus a variety of settings for motion detection. The basic motion detection is very sensitive and probably not worth using – it makes sense to use the version that only detects birds/squirrels.
Unfortunately, although I generally have a fair number of birds visit my garden, they appeared very wary of this so, in the several weeks it has been up, so far, according to the camera at least, it has received no visits from any birds, so I cannot confirm how well the bird identification works.
It did, however, rain heavily whilst this was up, and the design of this meant that the seeds I had placed in the little trays stayed relatively dry, which is a bonus. Obviously this does depend a little on the direction the rain is travelling.
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this window bird feeder performs. Installation was straightforward thanks to the strong suction cups, and it attached securely to my front window without any issues. The suction cups are strong and feel very sturdy. Unlike battery-powered models, this unit is powered directly via a USB-C cable, so there’s no need to worry about recharging it regularly. The feeder has a transparent design, which is less distracting and easy to clean. Once connected, it provides continuous operation, which is ideal for keeping an eye on visiting birds throughout the day. Once putting food on the trays, it has no problem attracting birds.
The camera produces clear, detailed footage that’s more than good enough for bird watching and identifying different species. Watching birds visit the feeder from inside the house has been both enjoyable and relaxing. Overall, it’s an excellent budget option for anyone interested in bird watching without installing a traditional bird box. As the product is currently unavailable, I can’t comment on its value for money. However, based on my experience, I would happily recommend it if it comes back into stock at a reasonable price, ideally below 40.
