SWC: The steering wheel control function works through a learning mode in the settings and took only a couple of minutes to set up. Allowing volume and other functions to be operated without taking hands off the wheel.
How to exit CarPlay/Android Auto back to the radio menu?
In the CarPlay or Android Auto interface, you will see an icon labeled "Home." Tap this icon to return to the radio's main menu.
Note:
The unit does not have built-in navigation apps itself, so maps work through your phone rather than being installed directly on the stereo.
Reversing Camera Provides Extra Safety Protection
The reversing camera will automatically activate when you shift into reverse gear, and it is equipped with a small LED indicator light to facilitate reversing operations in low-light conditions.
Please Note:
There is also no built-in speaker, so it only produces sound once properly connected to the car speakers.
Note:
Incorrect wiring of brown wire labeled “Parking Camera” may cause the screen to display “No reverse signal” or result in screen flickering.
• If you purchased the version WITHOUT a rear-view camera, this brown “Parking Camera” wire does NOT need to be connected. Please leave it unconnected and properly insulated.
• If you purchased the version WITH a rear-view camera, please connect the reverse camera strictly according to the wiring method shown in the image.
Things to Know before Buying
- Because this head unit packs a massive 6.86-inch screen onto a single-Din chassis, the display bezel extends slightly outward from the dash, meaning you should double-check that its physical boundary won't block adjacent physical hazard switches or low-slung climate control vents on your specific center console layout.
- The hands-free quality achieved via Bluetooth largely depends on the background noise inside the vehicle — it is particularly susceptible to interference in older or noisier cars.
- As wiring configurations vary from vehicle to vehicle, we only supply a simple wiring harness with bare ends. You will need to handle the wiring yourself using your vehicle's wiring diagram. We do not offer a dedicated plug-and-play adapter for your specific car.
- This product is compatible with 12V vehicles but not compatible with 24V vehicles.

Great value, durable, good connectivity, fair price.
We bought an older car for my daughter in laws first car and we’ve been adding and upgrading where we can to bring it into the 2020’s.
It has a 6.86 inch letterbox style touchscreen and fits into a standard single din slot but the screen is still a decent enough size to navigate.
It has physical volume buttons and shortcuts which are much easier to use when pulling into a drive through or if a passenger gets a call.
The UI is a bit generic but it doesn’t matter as once I launch CarPlay that takes over anyway.
It’s lightweight which made me feel something was missing from inside but in fact the screen is clear and it’s decently bright.
It feels durable enough. It’s mostly housed in plastic but it feels like it will last.
It’s not too deep (like when there’s a CD player) so there’s room for wiring and it connects and boots up quickly.
Theres a second or two lag when switching tracks which my own unit does too and I think that’s pretty standard for audio, but for maps it’s flawless.
The built in mics are a bit tinny, but clear enough.
While it arrives with universal bits most cars will need a couple of extras to make it look like a factory fit.
My daughter in laws car has a dash with rounded corners so I bought a trim to hide any gaps.
In my opinion the unit is great value and makes an older car feel more modern and current. Connectivity seems reliable and the apps I routinely use (Spotify and maps) work perfectly.
I hope you find my experiences helpful.
Modern upgrade for older cars with solid features and easy connectivity
Straight out of the box, the single DIN car stereo feels well made and solid. I fitted it into an older car to bring it up to date with modern connectivity, and it has made a noticeable difference to everyday driving.
The 6.86 inch touchscreen is one of the standout features. It is bright, sharp and responsive, with good viewing angles even in direct sunlight. The interface is fairly intuitive, with clear icons and minimal lag when switching between apps or menus. It fits neatly into the dash and doesn’t look out of place, which was important for me.
Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto work well once paired. The connection has been stable, and it’s very convenient not having to plug the phone in every time. Navigation through apps like maps is smooth, and voice control responds accurately for calls, messages and music selection. Bluetooth 5.0 also holds a strong connection, and call quality has been clear on both ends with minimal background noise.
Sound quality is decent for a unit in this category. The built in EQ settings allow some tuning, and it delivers clean audio without distortion at normal listening levels. It may not satisfy someone looking for high-end audio performance, but for everyday use it does the job well.
One minor drawback is that the touch controls can occasionally feel slightly less precise at the edges of the screen, and the menu system could benefit from a bit more refinement in layout. Installation also requires a bit of patience if you are not familiar with car wiring, particularly when integrating steering wheel controls.
Overall, I’m pleased with it and it has done what I expected.
Good budget upgrade for adding wireless CarPlay and Android Auto
I’ve been using this single DIN touchscreen stereo as a way to modernise an older car, mainly for wireless CarPlay, Bluetooth calls and navigation, and for the price it does a pretty good job. The 6.86 inch screen is a nice size for a single DIN unit, with enough space to make maps, music controls and call information much easier to see than on a basic radio. Wireless CarPlay connected without too much fuss after the first setup, and once linked it made short trips much more convenient because I didn’t have to keep plugging my phone in every time. Google Maps, music and hands-free calling all worked as expected, and the included microphone helps make calls more usable than relying on the phone alone. The touchscreen is reasonably responsive, although it does feel more like a budget aftermarket unit than a premium factory system, so I would keep expectations realistic. Installation is the main thing to be aware of, as it comes with loose wiring rather than a car-specific plug, so depending on the vehicle you may need an adaptor harness or someone confident with car audio wiring. There is also no built-in speaker, so it only produces sound once properly connected to the car speakers. Overall, it is a solid value head unit if you want CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth and a bigger display without spending loads, but the fitting side may be a bit fiddly if you are not used to installing stereos.
Good display quality, reliable wireless CarPlay, clear audio, and a useful reversing camera
I fitted this single DIN car stereo to upgrade an older dashboard, and it’s made a huge difference to the driving experience. The 6.86″ touchscreen is bright, sharp, and very responsive. Even in daylight it’s easy to read, and the interface feels modern and smooth to use. It really brings an older car interior up to date and looks like a proper integrated system once installed.
Wireless CarPlay works well in daily use, connecting quickly and staying stable on drives. I mainly use it for Google Maps, music, and calls, and everything runs smoothly without lag. Voice control is also useful for changing music or starting navigation without taking your hands off the wheel.
The Bluetooth calling quality is clear, and the built-in EQ helps adjust the sound to something more balanced depending on the speakers in the car. Mirror Link is a nice extra for occasional screen sharing from the phone, and the reversing camera is genuinely helpful, the image is clear, even in lower light, and makes parking a lot easier.
A very nice looking piece of kit with a lot to like. I thought the unit looked well made, and has a nice sleek look to it. I like that it is not as big as some other display screens in cars as I find them too big and distracting, personally.
The instructions are good, nice and clear and easy to follow, but if you are not confident with the wiring that the unit comes with, you might need to find someone who can help.
This is perfect for making an older car much more up to date – previously the car only had the standard radio installed, and I think that this is a good price in order to be able to do that.
Straightforward connection to an existing ISO harness. Simple to use, good value for money.
If you are replacing an existing using that already has the ISO harness, this should be straight forward plug and play replacement. My 1980s car already had the harness – so took 5 minutes to install. It has brought the car into the modern world with regards tech, and I have been able to remove the phone holder from the quarterlight.
It is very easy to use, connects well and gives good sound output. The physical buttons make using this unit very easy as you don’t have to touch the screen for next/previous/home etc. It is quick to connect to my phone.
There are a number of units around at a similar price level, but the features in this make it a good buy.
It feels well made, however I have only had this for a month. You need to be aware that the screen sticks up above the head unit – so this might cause an issue in certain cars. It has slots for radio removal tools – I have some Pioneer ones that I used to remove the old unit which fit. Not all units have this.
Absolute game-changer for older cars incredible value!
I got this car Stereo to modernise my daughters car, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. If you’re stuck with a single-din slot but desperately want the luxury of a larger, modern screen with smart connectivity, this is hands down the best way to do it without spending a fortune.
Here is my honest breakdown after a few weeks of daily use:
Design & Build Quality
The Screen: The display is brilliant. It’s incredibly sharp, bright enough to read clearly even in direct sunlight, and the capacitive touch is as responsive as a modern smartphone. There’s none of that annoying lag you often get with cheaper units.
The Fit: Despite having a large screen, the single-din chassis fit perfectly into my dash. The mounting mechanism feels robust, and the screen doesn’t wobble or vibrate at all when driving over rougher roads.
Sound Quality
I was expecting a decent display, but the sound quality absolutely blew me away.
The built-in amplifier delivers far more punch and clarity than the original stereo ever did.
The highs are crystal clear without sounding tinny, and the bass is incredibly rich.
Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
We’ve only used CarPlay on this which works quickly and connects straight away to my daughter’s phone each time
Connection is practically instantaneous as soon as the engine starts. Navigation on Waze is smooth, voice commands via Siri are picked up clearly by the included microphone, and hands-free calling is crystal clear.
Value for Money
To get a screen of this size and calibre from one of the big-name audio brands, you’d easily be looking at double or triple the price. For what this unit costs, the performance is simply unbeatable. It has completely transformed my daily commute and saved me from having to buy a newer car just to get modern tech.
If you’re on the fence about upgrading, just do it. You won’t regret it!
