Although this product suggests results will be seen within 8 weeks I can truly say I saw results within a few days to a week. I suffer with extreme shedding and this product reduced that significantly within under a week so I’m really impressed! Nothing has worked as well as this product. Although it is pricey I’d suggest if thinning and shedding and is concern definitely invest in this product. I have gone through 2 bottles and instructions don’t really state how long you have to use this product to maintain results so yes the product does go quickly if you use it everyday. For context I have extremely tightly coiled fine 4c hair.
I’ve been using this scalp treatment for a while now. As someone with thinning hair, I was eager to try a product that promised results within 8 weeks, and I can confidently say I have started seeing improvements much sooner—in as little as 2 weeks in some areas! Its still early days but I do like what I am experiencing so far.
The application process is relatively straightforward. The spray design makes it easy to target specific areas of the scalp, though I did find the recommended 12–15 pumps to be a bit excessive. Using 8-10 pumps worked better for me and helped avoid the serum streaming down my face while still covering the necessary areas. It absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave my scalp greasy or dry, which is a plus. I also love the mild, fresh scent—it’s pleasant without being overwhelming.
It’s not a dramatic overnight transformation, but the steady progress is encouraging. However, patience is required, as significant results might take several weeks or months. The instructions don’t specify how long you need to use it to maintain the benefits, which leaves some uncertainty.
One drawback is the price—it’s definitely on the expensive side. That said, considering how effective it has been for me so far, I believe it’s a worthwhile investment if thinning or shedding is a major concern for you. Using the product sparingly also makes the bottle last longer, which helps justify the cost.
Overall, it is an effective, easy-to-use product for addressing thinning hair. While it requires patience and consistency, the early results and improved hair health make it worth considering.

Absolutely amazing! I really had given up on my hair which has fallen out and broken to the point I couldn’t go out without wearing hair extensions to cover the loss. I’m incredibly sceptical of reviews but for anyone else who doesn’t believe them I can truly say that the Nioxin range has made the most incredible difference in only 4 weeks! I bought the serums and shampoo and conditioner and the mousse which really thickens up the appearance of my hair enough to style and go out.
At first I didn’t believe what I was feeling, which was short stubbly growth all over the margins of my hair at the front. Now some of it is more than a centimetre long and starting to cover the patches at the front of my hairline. It is now more downy in texture and I can’t stop touching it to believe what is happening. I’ve thrown everything at trying to get my hair back including using supplements and oils and am still taking some including rosemary oil, B12, Vit D, Magnesium and other suggested tablets. They may well be helping too , I can’t be sure , but I am very sure that my hair is growing back and sooner than had been suggested. I can’t thank Nioxin enough!

I honestly didn’t expect this shampoo to work as well as it has. I started using it because I was noticing a lot more hair fall during washing and brushing, especially after weight loss and stress, and within a few weeks the difference was genuinely noticeable.
I wash my hair 2–3 times a week and after around 4–6 weeks of consistent use, the change was massive. Before using this, I would lose handfuls of hair in the shower. Now it’s down to around 4 strands when washing my hair, which honestly feels unbelievable compared to before. My hair also feels cleaner for longer, less limp at the roots and overall healthier.
A few things I liked:

Noticeably reduced shedding
Doesn’t weigh my hair down
A little goes a long way
It does have a slightly “clinical/salon” smell rather than a sweet perfume scent, but I actually quite like that because it feels like a treatment product rather than just a cosmetic shampoo.
For anyone struggling with increased shedding or hair fall, this is definitely worth trying. It’s one of the few products where I’ve actually seen real results.
