It's a keepe
I am editing this review to five stars. It is evident that the good folks at kawa did answer my emails but they went through amazons message system and I was never notified. They did reach out to me directly and apologized offering a full refund or replacement which I declined. I cannot accept anything under false pretense and I had unknowingly found the problem. That being said, these are awesome cameras that respond just as advertised BUT you cannot connect them to an Android tablet which was exactly what I had tried to do repeatedly untill one day picking up my wife’s cell phone, downloading the app and everything worked as it was supposed to. Get this camera, it is awesome and the voice control works flawlessly. I love that it hides behind the rear view mirror. Thank you fawa for your offer and understanding in this, my stupidity.

After trying repeatedly, reading and rereading the instructions, and watching the useless video twice I gave up. Three emails over the last eight days and not one answered by kawa. My advice…skip this one,

I am upgrading to four stars. I initially was going to return because you get no customer service from this company but decided to keep it. After three weeks and numerous attempts it finally connected. Don’t know how or why but it did. I put it in my wife’s car not expecting much but, amazingly, everything works as it should and the video quality is amazing. Take a chance if you will, I’m happy with it now.
Love the dash cam
We originally got this for long trips but just leave it in the truck all the time now. I was surprised at how clear the videos are and ease of installation. I was expecting way more issues trying to get it hooked up but there were none. It’s got a cool emergency recording and it’s super easy to play it back on my iPhone.
I wasn’t sure another gadget would squeeze in behind the rear-view mirror, yet the KAWA Mini 3 Pro G2 slid into place without protest. It is so small I nearly took it for a packet of mints until the lens stared back at me.
For all that pocket-sized modesty, the camera captures razor-sharp 1440p footage, reads number plates through dawn drizzle, and continues unflustered when the street lights disappear. The included 32 GB card is ready in minutes, the generous USB-C lead threads cleanly along the headlining, and the adhesive mount stays put even after a pothole-strewn blast up the M1.
Pairing with the app took seconds, QR code, a couple of taps, finished. Clips download quickly and the interface is so straightforward my technophobe father found his way around it at once.
Crisp video, fuss-free controls, and a camera you can barely spot, all for less than a motoring fine, seems like money well spent.
I wanted a small, discreet dashcam that doesn’t take too much space off the windscreen and this one turned out to be exactly that especially because it’s tiny and barely noticeable from the outside, which keeps the car interior looking very organized while still recording everything clearly. The night vision surprised me with how it captures colours and details even on dark roads, I mean when there is no light at all and how it balances light so glare from headlights or street lamps doesn’t wash out the image. I also like the voice control feature which makes it easy to start or stop recording without touching the device while driving. Connecting through the kawa app was quick and it’s handy to download and view recordings straight from my phone in and this saves a lot of time because I don’t have to download the files on my computer. The g-sensor works great too, it automatically saves clips in case of sudden impact. This is a compact and easy-to-use dashcam with clear recording quality, good night vision and smart voice and app controls.
I installed this dash cam mainly for daily commuting, and its compact size makes it almost invisible behind the rearview mirror. The setup was quick, and it connects to the app easily through WiFi, letting me review and download videos right on my phone. The video quality is excellent—sharp and detailed both during the day and at night thanks to the strong night vision. The voice control function works smoothly, so I can lock videos or take photos without touching any buttons while driving. I really like the small transparent display that shows only the essential information without distraction. The loop recording and G-sensor features work exactly as described, giving peace of mind that nothing important will be lost. The build feels durable, and the supercapacitor design means it handles temperature changes much better than battery-powered models. It’s a neat, well-thought-out camera that provides great visibility and reliable protection on every trip.
Excellent Value Compact Dashcam with Clear Video Quality
The KAWA MINI 3 Pro G2 dashcam arrived well-packaged and its super-compact design makes it very easy to install. It hides neatly behind the rear-view mirror, keeping the windscreen clutter-free. Setting it up through the Kawa Auto app was straightforward, and the Wi-Fi connection worked without issues. The video quality is impressively clear for such a small and affordable device. Priced at 17.99 at the time of review, I think it offers excellent value considering the features and performance. My only small complaint is that the camera angle can only be adjusted vertically and not horizontally, so it needs to be positioned carefully during installation. Other than that, it’s a fantastic budget dashcam.
Item received in good condition in a small branded gold box. I mounted the KAWA Mini 3 Pro G2 just behind the rear-view mirror in our family estate and actually had to lean forward to check it was still there, it is that small.
The unit is only about the size of a matchbox, yet it somehow squeezes in 2.5K video, a 160-degree lens, built-in Wi-Fi and even arrives with a 32 GB card already in place. The box also includes a generous USB-C lead and a 12 volt adaptor, so the whole lot was up and running quick and with a much easier installation than I had envisaged.
Picture quality is pin-sharp in bright sunshine and stays impressively clear on a damp late-night run to the Cornish chip shop. Number plates remain legible, glare is kept under control and the G-sensor only locks files when the car actually takes a knock, rather than every time I crawl over one of those half-hearted speed bumps. The companion app opens the live view straight away and skimming through saved clips feels as fast as flicking through photos on my phone.
A tiny footprint, sturdy build and reliable recording add up to superb value. It does everything I need without hogging the windscreen, and the peace of mind it provides is worth every penny.

-it’s still not excellent at reading license plates in the dark on the highway, perhaps a 4K camera would be best for that

Easy Setup & Great Day/Night Quality
Great value for money and surprisingly easy to set up and install. The app works really well, making it simple to access recordings and adjust settings. Video quality is excellent both during the day and at night, with clear footage and good detail. Overall, a reliable dashcam that performs far better than expected for the price.
Impressed so far. Connected easily via app, which allows you to view and download photo’s and footage to your phone. Picture quality in daylight is good, not yet tried at night, but have high expectations.
It’s also small, without scrimping on features and quality. Fits behind my mirror (Tiguan) which is what I wanted.
Settings are easily changed via the app, I found it easy to use. The cable that comes with it is long enough and pliable to route it round the windscreen and keep it tidy.
Comes with everything you need, apart from cable clips. Sticks really well to windscreen, so hopefully won’t fall off like my old suckered one!
All in all good value for money, would recommend.
