    10mm thick manganese steel chain with a small ulock, 3 foot long chain, comes with 4 keys
    This is a very good quality 10mm thick chain with a small ulock. The chain is very strong and looks to be made of the same manganese steel alloy as the kryptonite locks. The chain is about 3 feet in length and is long enough to use with an ebike or moped. The chain has a nice protective nylon sheath to keep it from getting damaged. It would nearly impossible to cut through this chain without industrial grade cutting tools. The ulock comes with 4 keys, which is great. I use the chain with my other lock to run through the front wheel of my ebike. I would feel comfortable using this lock in most cities for a bike that was under $1000. I think it’s a very good lock and would be hard to find this level of protection for less than the $30 price. Ideally, I would use a thicker 20mm u-lock and use this chain as secondary protection for the wheel.

    Overall, I think this is a very nice lock for $30. It’s very thick and would deter most thieves. If you’re riding a $5000 motorcycle or some crazy expensive bike, I would probably go for a thicker lock than was at least 20mm thick. But for my cheap Dick’s mountain bike, this is perfect.

    Heavy = Security?
    This is definitely a heavy and seemingly pretty secure chain. The chain + lock weighs in at nearly 6 pounds, so it is definitely more useful for a motorcycle, ATV or UTV than it would be for a bike, e-bike or e-scooter.

    Nice that it comes with a total of 4 copies of the key, especially as it is a specialized interior cut key. Harder to pick, I guess, if any thief is still picking locks.

    Just checking everything out it seems like the chain is pretty high security, and the fabric cover prevents dings and chips to what you are locking up.

    The little u-lock to me… seems kind of light weight and ‘plasticky’ feeling. I can’t say whether it is also highly secure, but it just doesn’t feel as heavy duty as the chain. Weakest link in the system, and all that.

    And anyway it would be easy to get a bigger, stronger (& heavier) lock for the robust chain.

    Good working length. And obviously plenty of uses around the home, shop, campground, etc. for making sure your things don’t grow legs and walk away. Or securing gates, etc.

    Super quality chain and lock LOVE IT
    When I received this chain and lock combo, I couldn’t avoid a stroll down memory lane. When I was in college almost 50 years ago, I had a super heavy chain that I used to lock up my bicycle on campus. I remember my mom made a thin sleeve out of denim to wrap the chain and protect my bike. This super-duper chain has a ” a thick protective fabric sleeve [that] helps prevent scratches and damage.” My dear old innovative mom was half a century ahead of her time!

    This chain is absolutely incredible. It is very heavy and I’d bet most thieves would take one look at it and move on to something else. It’s even heavier than my old bike chain, which was a section of logging . I have some HUGE bolt cutters, and I doubt they could even scratch this chain. Incidentally, a chain with this heft could also come in handy if you need something for self-defense. The lock is extremely nice too, and comes with four keys. It seems pricey, but quality security items always are. This is well worth the price.

    Thick Chain, Decent Lock
    My wife and I recently purchased some higher end e-l bikes and bought this heavy duty chain for insurance and peace of mind. We live in a city where bikes go missing on a regular basis, so having this gives us a triple threat deterrent to prevent any unnecessary stress.

    Our strategy is to lock one or both bikes to a standard street rack, and then use this 3.9-foot chain to lock both of our frames together. It’s just long enough to make that setup work perfectly.

    We also own a motorcycle where this chain could easily be used, but we end up riding our e bikes much more often. To be fair, this is a very heavy chain, if we were riding traditional bicycles, the weight would be a hassle to haul around. But since we are on e-bikes, the extra weight isn’t a big deal at all, much like a motorcycle.

    The chain and fabric cover feel high-quality and protect our bike paint from scratches. The U-lock could use some room for improvement (the mechanism is a little rattly, though the keys turn smoothly), but it does the job. Overall, if you need serious urban security for an ebike or motorcycle, this is a solid choice.

    Thick and heavy duty
    This steel chain lock is seriously heavy (almost too heavy). It’s not the easiest thing to carry around… But there’s definitely no fear of it being cut. The included lock is not quite as heavy duty as the chain but will do the job just fine. It comes with more than enough extra keys in case you lose some (4 in total). I do feel, however, one big blow with a sledge hammer would destroy the lock. Not sure if I would use this for a motorcycle because of that but for a bicycle, it’s great. Security is above average for sure. For the price, there are many options out there but this one is certainly a good one. Good value for the money. The lock lacks adjustability but you can wrap the chain around itself to get a tighter fit if needed. Overall, a good bike lock.
